Katherine Leigh Doherty is a performer, journalist and storyteller. She is currently in her final year at Brown University, concentrating in American Studies and Theatre Arts, with a focus in adolescent development. As a journalist, Katherine writes, reports, and produces for Rhode Island Public Radio (RIPR), NPR. You can hear her live newscasts each week on 95.5 WBRU, Southern New England's soft rock station. 

In the fall of 2006, Katherine made her professional stage debut in Irving Berlin's White Christmas. Later that year, she originated the role of Jane Banks in Disney's Mary Poppins on Broadway. Katherine was featured on Disney 365, giving a tour of the New Amsterdam Theatre. She returned to Broadway in the 2009 Revival of A Little Night Music, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury. 

Born in Massachusetts,  Katherine is an avid Boston sports fan. She has sung the National Anthem and God Bless America for the Celtics, New England Patriots and Red Sox.
